- Remote and blended learning provision at Somers Park
At Somers Park we are committed to improving to ensure that we provide a first class education for the children in our school.
As a result of rigorous self-evalution, the following school improvement priorities have been set by the School Leadership, for the academic year 2019-2020.
Priority 1
a. To facilitate a swift return to high quality curriculum and education at Somers Park and Malvern Vale Primary School.
b. To ensure that provision for all children, including the disadvantaged and SEND, enables them to make better than expected progress.
c. In all subjects and all phases, increase the proportion of children consistently demonstrating that they are working at greater depth within the expected standard.
Priority 2
Following the break in education, support a smooth transition back into school by providing a curriculum which supports children’s mental health and wellbeing. In turn, supporting positive behaviour and attitudes towards school.
Priority 3
To introduce an approach to relationships education which reflects the requirements of the school community and British society.
Priority 4
a. Manage change effectively to provide continuity of strategic and operational leadership with leaders new to their role.
b.Increase the impact of middle leadership on the curriculum provision at Somers Park and Malvern Vale.
Priority 5
To ensure a smooth introduction to school routines following C19, with an emphasis on developing speaking and listening skills, vocabulary development and embedding positive learning behaviours.
